The addition of this XTFT-CAPS Ralston cap and plug to any Ralston Male XT fitting keeps the quick connect thread clean and undamaged when not in use. It also effectively acts as a stopper to blank off or seal the fitting to the maximum pressure rating. The ring of the chain is designed to be used as a collar around the base of the male fitting, so that the cap is not lost when removed from the fitting.
