A Rugged and Reliable Device Communicator

The Emerson AMS Trex is designed to withstand the harsh conditions in and around processing and manufacturing facilities.
A rugged housing copes with the abuse of harsh working environments and the knocks and shocks of every day industrial use.
The Trex communicator is IP54 rated against dust and water, and will comfortably operate in challenging conditions and extreme temperatures from -20 to +55C (-20 to +50C for intrinsically safe model).

The sturdy exterior is designed in accordance with intrinsic safety standards to limit the build-up of static electrical energy.
The soft carry case features a window for easy access and pockets for a charger, leads sets and other tools you need.
A robust lithium-ion power module keeps the Trex running over a full shift, even when powering other devices in the field.

No need for a power supply or confirmation of adequate loop resistance before testing; the optional Device Communication Plus Module includes built-in functionality to power a device.
Power the loop functionality enables device configuration in the field, even before power and I/O infrastructure are in place.

ValveLink Mobile app performs valve diagnostics in the field, including valve signature, dynamic error band, PD one button sweep and step response, without the need to pull the valve or perform invasive troubleshooting.
ValveLink Mobile works with HART and FOUNDATION Fieldbus Fisher FIELDVUE digital valve controllers with an intuitive user interface that is easy to use and understand.
The Trex Device Communicator Plus communication module provides power directly to the controller, and the large touchscreen makes it easy to see all diagnostic details.

Diagnose Communication Problems

The Trex communicator can configure and troubleshoot FOUNDATION Fieldbus devices and segments in your plant.
Create a quality segment by diagnosing the network DC voltage and average noise.
Detect power supply problems using loop power functionality or by monitoring low frequency noise on a segment.
You can also easily verify whether DC voltage is correct in HART loops.
