The Ralston QTFT-PLGS plug and chain acts as a stopper for any Quick-Test Hose when not in use or to seal a QT Femail fitting to the maximum pressure rating. The chain ring is designed to be used as a permanent collar, allowing the plug to hang securely when removed.
