The Visor-Ex 01 is Ecom's first industrial grade smart glasses, certified for zone 1 (gas) and zone 21 (dust) hazardous areas.

The Visor-Ex 01 enables hands-free inspection and maintenance in hazardous environments such as oil refineries, chemical processing plants, gas pipelines and refuelling stations.

With an OLED display and HD video, the Visor-Ex 01 provides the high visual quality required for safe, accurate and efficient inspections work. Touch pad, smartphone or voice command inputs ensure reliable operation in different environments. A head-up display offers unlimited assisted reality options and laser guided barcode scanning enables error-free asset identification or fast and easy access to digital information.

The Visor-Ex 01 uses Remote Eye software for off-site collaboration and connections. The user can interact with remote contacts through the Visor-Ex 01's 16MP cameras, loudspeaker and echo-cancelling microphone.

The Visor-Ex 01 pairs with the Ecom Smart-Ex 02 smartphone, which provides processing power, a full-sized touchscreen, wi-fi / LTE connectivity and app support. A Smart-Ex 02 belt clip and cradle are included for hands-free convenience.

With the CPU and powerpack as separate units, the Visor-Ex 01 head unit weighs only 180g and remains comfortable to wear over long periods.
