The ZX-2 is an economical ultrasonic thickness gauge that requires no special training to operate. Calibration is done by simply selecting one of eight common materials from a list of material types, or alternatively entering a known material velocity prior to starting your measurements. The preset materials include 4340 & 303 Steel, 2024 Aluminum, Cast Iron, Plexiglass, PVC, Polystyrene & Polyurethane.
