The intrinsically safe CorDEX UT5000 is IECEx and ATEX certified for use in zone 1 (gas) and zone 21 (dust) hazardous areas.
The UT5000 accurately measures material thickness and enables non-destructive testing (NDT) and predictive maintenance (Pdm) on pipelines or fixed assets in potentially explosive environments.
Multiple measurement modes allow the UT5000 to read through paint or coatings, maintain accuracy on uneven surfaces, and detect thickness reduction, pitting or corrosion in test materials. Constant real-time measurements also show maximum, minimum and average values.
A data logging memory stores up to 1000 measurements and a built-in RFID scanner allows records to be tagged with location details and other information. The UT5000 is also supported by CorDEX CONNECT software, which manages device data, enables real-time tracking, schedules maintenance and creates detailed reports.
